He also acknowledged the island’s lack of doctors.
Tinian, however, continues to deliver health services to its residents, he added.
In an earlier interview, the mayor said doctors from Saipan are also serving the Tinian community.
Last year, the Medical Licensing Board noted the lack of a full-time physician at the Tinian Health Center and described it as a “crisis.”
To find solutions to these problems, Dela Cruz said he will meet with Department of Public Health Secretary Joseph Kevin Villagomez
Dela Cruz said he will also study his transition committee’s report on the health center.
The mayor has appointed his son, Ramon Dela Cruz Jr., to administer the health center.
