According to his plea agreement, Macaranas “knowingly aided and abetted” his co-defendant Carlos Aldan in distributing “ice.”
Macaranas will remain out on bail until his sentencing.
Macaranas, Aldan and Tinian municipal employee Henry San Nicolas were separately arrested last May on “ice” charges.
The federal court has scheduled Aldan’s change of plea hearing for July 23, 2010. He is out on bail.
The jury trial for San Nicolas, also out on bail, will start on Sept. 27, 2010.
