Borja, 37, a Tinian resident, has been released from the Department of Corrections facility on July 18, 2010, after serving 100 days since her arrest on April 9.
Superior Court Kenneth L. Govendo sentenced Borja to imprisonment for five years, all suspended except for 100 days, with credit for time she already served.
Borja has signed a plea agreement, admitting possession of a controlled substance.
Upon release from prison, the court required Borja to work regularly at a lawful occupation and support her dependents.
Govendo said Borja will complete 100 hours of community work service, including “speaking with children about the dangers of drug use.”
Borja was on her way to purchase “ice” from a drug dealer on Saipan to bring back to Tinian for distribution when she was arrested by the CNMI Drug Enforcement Task Force.
