Organizers are hoping to mobilize a hundred volunteers for the event.
They will plant coconuts because these are likely to survive the acidic soil and poor growing conditions of the badlands, Beautify CNMI! said.
Organizers are asking volunteers to meet at the Santa Soledad Church in Kagman at 7:45 a.m.
Tools, gloves, water and light snack will be provided, but volunteers are still encouraged to bring a bottle of water, sunscreen, hiking shoes, and a hat.
The activity is sponsored by Beautify CNMI!, the Division of Environmental Quality, the Coastal Resources Management Office, the Department of Land and Natural Resources and the Coral Reef Initiative.
