Vehicle owner, operator in 2008 collision sued

Nurul Islam,  represented by attorney Judy DLG. Torres, named as defendants Chen Zhao Di and Donald R. Babauta.

The defendants were sued for negligent operation of the vehicle, and negligent entrustment for master-servant liability.

Islam is asking for compensatory damages, economic and non-economic damages, actual damages, medical care and expenses, bodily injury and special damages in an amount to be proven at trial.

Islam is also asking for future damages economic and non-economic such as pain and suffering and necessary and reasonable medical expenses, in an amount to be proven at trial.

The plaintiff is likewise seeking an award for costs and reasonable attorney’s fees and such other relief.

On Sept. 15, 2008, the complaint stated that Di entrusted her vehicle to Babauta who later collided with Islam’s vehicle after “Babauta failed to stop and/or yield to oncoming traffic.”

No other details were provided.
