Romolor will report to Corrections on Jan. 13, 2012.
On or about Oct. 2, 2011, Romolor threw his body on top of his wife and then slapped her while he was yelling and screaming. He then punched a mirror and destroyed a scooter. The noise awakened their five children, causing them to cry and disturbing everyone’s peace.
Romolor was sentenced to one year imprisonment, but all suspended, except for 72 hours.
As part of the plea agreement, the court dismissed the remaining charges of criminal mischief, and six counts of disturbing the peace.
Romolor will be placed on two years’ probation and will pay a $200 fine as well as a $25 court assessment fee. He will undergo anger management counseling and alcohol and drug assessment treatment. He will not possess, purchase, or consume alcohol, and will associate with persons or establishments that sell alcohol. Romolor will complete 150 hours of community work service.
Assistant Attorney General Russel Lorfing represented the government while Assistant Public Defender Matthew Meyer served as Romolor’s counsel.
