Jonathan Iyekar also known as Tatu aside from DUI and reckless driving was also charged with failure to stop vehicle following an accident, failure to yield and failure to obey stop sign.
Iyekar appeared in court on March 13 and posted $500 cash and $1,000 secured bond.He was released from custody and was ordered to obey all laws while on bail release.Iyekar is set to appear in court on March 26 at 9:30 am for a hearing.Iyekar was charged for driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol on December 27.A police affidavit submitted in court stated that Iyekar was drinking beer while driving a gray sedan on December 27 at the SDA and Hanpa minimart intersection in Ikelau.The affidavit stated that Iyekar ran into a stop sign and hit another vehicle.The affidavit stated that Iyekar abandoned his vehicle and fled the scene on foot after the incident.Court document also showed that Iyekar was also charged for selling marijuana on January 28.He was charged with one count of trafficking and one count of possession of a controlled substance on February 12.The document stated that agents from Narcotics Division conducted a buy bust operation after receiving information that Iyekar was selling marijuana at his residence in Ngerbeched.A confidential agent managed to purchase 50 marijuana joints from Iyekar during the buy bust operation.Narcotics operatives arrested Iyekar and found him in possession of 35 marijuana joints.
