Mohammad Ali Blaluk, 30 and Arikawa Basilius, 25, were cited on March 14 for driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that Basilius tried to flee the scene after his vehicle ran off the roadway in Madelaii by Mona’s Kitchen on March 14.The incident involving Basilius was reported to the police at 12:40 am.Police found Basilius and subjected him for a sobriety test where he failed the test.He was cited for DUI and reckless driving.Blaluk’s vehicle was traversing on a high speed on Meyuns in front of the Belau National hospital when it hit another vehicle.Blaluk fled on foot but police found him later and cited him for DUI and reckless driving.In other police report, a man was also cited for negligent driving after his vehicle ran into an electric pole and caused a wire to fall out on the ground on March 18.The man fled the scene but was found later by the responding police officer.Police report also indicated that nine other traffic incidents were reported to the police for the past eight days.The report indicated that several vehicle damages were also reported to the police last week.
