Raymond Ngodrii Tiakl entered into plea agreement on November 18 and pleaded guilty to one count of trafficking in a controlled substance as charged in count three of the information.
Assistant Attorney General Tony DeRuiz in exchange of his plea agreed to dismiss the other charges, the three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance.
Associate Justice Kathleen M. Salii accepted the defendant’s plea and sentenced him to four years of imprisonment, all suspended except for 68 days with credit time for time served from September 11, 2009 through November 18, 2009.
Tiakl upon release from jail will serve the rest of the sentence on supervised probation.
The court ordered that while he was on suspended sentence, he shall obey all laws including the directives of the Probation Office.
The Justice said that failure to comply with any of the said terms and condition may result to revocation of probation and imposition of the sentence.
Tiakl was charged for trafficking marijuana on September.
