Along with the donation, Ngara Melidiul Club indicated their intention to continue with donations to different projects of the Ministry. They also stated that this year it was decided that their donation would go towards the purchasing of new water heater and refrigerator units, among other things for the Manila Medical Referral house.
The check was presented by Ngara Melidiul Club members Vivian Fritz and Antoinette Sabino to the Medical Referral Committee at the Belau National Hospital’s Medical Library.Dr. Greg Dever of the Medical Referral Committee stated during the donation that Palau is one of the few countries in the Pacific that practices the referral of patients to hospitals abroad and is fortunate that Continental Micronesia has been a strong supporter of the program ever since it started.The Ngara Melidiul Club has also made previous donations to the Ministry of Health and consists of members who are current and former flight attendant employees of Continental Airlines.
