The goods were given by Tochedmeas (Council of Women), Ngaratelok (Women from Ngchesar proper) and Oldiais Women Association (Association of Ngchesar women living in Koror and Airai) to help patients of the hospital.
Minister of Health Stevenson Kuartei, Director Selaima Lalabalavu of the Bureau of Hospital and Clinical Services, Julie Tellei of HR/Spiritual Health Program, Belau National Hospital’s Kitchen Manager Tino Faatuuala, and Brenda Towai and Zabeth Senior Kyota of the MOH Administration office accepted the donations.
“Any time the Ministry of Health or the hospitals need anything, please call on us, we will find a way to help out or at least do our best,” said Ilong Agatha Marcil of Kebou Clan who represent Uodelchad of Kebou Clan.
Minister Kuartei was grateful for the generosity of the Ngchesar Women. “Such positive support reminds us that the community out there supports us and all we need to do is ask for their assistance and they show up. We have much hope and trust for the Palauan community and we are proud to serve them.”
