The exercises started on Friday at the Japan-Palau Friendship Bridge and was continued on Ngerchebal Island, Tuesday.
Lt. Aloysius Alonz said 30 cadets participated in the training which required them to apply what they had learned from the academy during the past weeks of lectures.The cadets, who will graduate on Sept. 25, also performed CPR as well as rescue operations in the waters.The Koror State Rangers, the Division of Fish and Wildlife and the Division of Marine Law Enforcement Office provided assistance to the staff of the Law Enforcement Academy during the training.Everson Sadang and Sherry S. Misech were the first male and female cadets to emerge from the water.Sadang’s record was two hours and 10 minutes while Misech clocked two hours and 50 minutes.Sadang is with the Division of Quarantine while Misech is an administrative officer of the Criminal Investigation Section.Misech wants to be a police officer.
