The activity will be held at the Bethlehem Park starting 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Melson Miko, PVA Community/Support Services Manager, said there are several activities lined- up during the Green fair which includes display and selling of plants and flowers
He said that as part of promotion of the healthy environment, local farmers will showcase their farm products. The Koror Solid Waste Management (KSWM) will also participate in the event wherein the KSWM will demonstrate how to convert biodegradable waste products into useful fertilizer.
There will also be a plant contest of croton plants locally known as “kesuk”. The event is open to the public for participation. However, they have to register first at the PVA office. Participants will bring and show their planted crotons. The lucky winners will receive gardening tools amounting to $100 for the first prize. Second prize $75 and third prize is $50 worth of the items.
As part of the events, the PVA will also have flowers and tree planting activities at the Koror side of the bridge on April 19 or 20.
Miko said, the tree planting activity will be conducted in collaboration with the Palau Women’s Group and Bureau of Agriculture.
