The UMTP was invited to speak at the Pacific Islands Regional Partners meeting and present two posters about the work being conducted in Ulithi Atoll, Yap.
The poster themes were “Biodiversity and Threats on Loosiep Island” and “Monitoring of Nesting Green Turtles on Gielop and Loosiep Islands.”
This trip was made possible by a grant from the NOAA Pacific Islands Regional Office and from the ISTS Travel Grant Committee.
The UMTP crew was a big hit at the ISTS and hope to return next year with more information to share about Yap and Ulithi nesting turtle populations.
