ED Manibusan shot a net score of 70 at Coral Ocean Resort on Sept. 11 to claim the Saipan Golf Association’s September Ace of the Month title.
Manibusan started strong on the front nine with a gross of 37 to put himself well ahead of the competition. Although he slightly struggled during the back nine, he still showed enough consistency in his swing to end with a gross of 40 for a total gross score of 77. With a 7 handicap, Manibusan’s net score was 70.
For the Closest to the Pin side event, Tony Benavente led the list on hole #3 while Rick Kauz topped hole #7.
For the Longest Drive, Tony Benavente was supreme on hole #6 while Ed Manibusan triumphed on hole #18.
Besides Manibusan, the other 2022 SGA aces so far are Edward C. Sablan (January), Frances M. Sablan (February), Nick C. Sablan (March), Larry I. Deleon Guerrero (April), Alex Tudela (May), Mariano Fajardo (June), Rick Kautz (July), and Das Krishnan (August).
SGA’s October Ace of the Month Tournament is set for Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort East Course. Tee time will be at 9 a.m. and show time is at 8:30 a.m.
