6JMS Hella Darty remains on top of the Tuesday B Division of the Saipan Electronic Darts Association Bud Light League after defeating 6JMS Champinos by a point, 8-7, at the 6JMS Sports Bar.
It was an exciting match with Hella Darty drawing first blood, thanks to Jared Ayuyu who displayed a 16.72 PPD.
The team’s second win was provided by Mike Iguel, but the Champinos answered with two wins of their own highlighted by Russ Cruz’s impressive 23.15 PPD.
Cruz and teammate Shane Pangelinan then split the opening 301 Double In/Double Out.
In the Partners Crazy Cricket match, Pangelinan and Skem Kaipat bagged the first round but Hella Darty’s Stan Ngalen and Toby “T-Bag” Castro managed to take the remaining round.
With the score tied at 3-3, the Champinos finally got a break in the second partners match of the night as Pangelinan and Kaipat worked well, claiming the first win in the Partners 501 Double In/Double Out match while team-mates Cruz and Tristan Javier followed through with another win as the Champinos took a 5-3 lead.
The Champinos then notched a 2-2 split in the Singles Regular Cricket and appeared to be on the verge of victory.
However, Hella Darty was not going down without a fight.
In the Partners Half-It match, the team suddenly found their second wind as Ayuyu and Ngalen had a strong start and never looked back, winning the first round while team-mates Castro and Iguel also scored to tie the game once again, 7-7.
In the final Team 1101 match, both teams went head-to-head with Hella Darty led by Castro outlasting the Champinos, 8-7.
Just Chillin’ Team Kalakas vs 6JMS Shaka
Just Chillin’ Team Kalakas likewise joined the winner’s circle after thumping 6JMS Shaka 10-5.
Kalakas found their rhythm early as Eric “1YO” Kapileo, Dean “Kabado” Borja and Jaime “LeeSoLongBoom” Re pulled a 3-1 run in the 301 Double In/Double Out match.
Shaka fought back but could only split the next two partners matches as Kalakas completed another 3-1 run in the Singles Regular Cricket match to seize the lead, 8-4.
Kalakas continued to rack up wins, splitting the Partners Half-It match and the final Team 1101 match to triumph 10-5.
Tambayan G.V.D. Mix vs Just Chillin’ BulaChelu’s
G.V.D. Mix, for their part, stunned the second ranked team, BulaChelu’s 9-6.
It was teamwork that separated G.V.D. Mix from BulaChelu’s. After an even split in the opening singles match, G.V.D. Mix gained the upper hand with Robert Tatuwo and John Mality, and then Rodley Tomei and Rayner Sekool topping the Partners Crazy Cricket match, 4-2.
Despite BulaChelu’s efforts, they remained behind as they could only split the next three matches while G.V.D. Mix added the icing on the cake with more teamwork, claiming the final 1101 Double In/Double Out match to secure a 9-6 victory.
