LA Mesa Kusina thrashed Unity Trade, 94-70, Saturday in the Michelob Ultra Cup 2023 at the Ada gym.
Both teams filled the opening quarter with back-and-forth action.
La Mesa Kusina was led by Greg Deleon Guerrero and Joe Sablan who scored eight and five points, respectively, while Unity Trade’s Frank Ferrer, Joel Javier and Tiago Akyot delivered the buckets to stay within reach, 23-19.
In the second quarter, La Mesa Kusina found their stride with Steve King knocking down four triples to give his team a comfortable lead, 51-35.
Led by Ferrer and Javier, Unity Trade gave it their all, but for every shot they made, La Mesa Kusina had an answer on the other end.
King continued to make it rain from behind the three-point line with team mate Tony Kim also contributing points en route to a blowout victory, 94-70.
