THE Brewers collected their fourth win of the season by trouncing the Marlins, 19-2, at the Francisco “Tan Ko” Palacios baseball field on Monday.
The Brewers — also known as the Brew Crew — established dominance as early as the opening inning.
They swung for the fences as their first two at-bats, JJ Cabrera and Jerome Delos Santos, rounded the bases with Hector Efraim and Byron Kaipat also scoring and earning an RBI along the way. After being handed their first out, their runs continued to come in, primarily due to infield errors committed by the Marlins, as the Brewers seized the lead, 6-0.
The lead only grew in the second inning as five more runs were added by the Brewers — mainly from errors — to further stretch the gap, 11-0.
The Marlins finally came alive in the bottom half with two runs, but they were quickly silenced for the rest of the game.
The Brewers continued to thrive, scoring one run in the third inning, three in the fourth, and four more in the fifth before the game ended via the 10-run rule, 19-2.
