Benavente’s home run closed the gap in the bottom of the sixth after Esang Olkeriil and DLNR fielders ended the top of the said inning leaving P&S scoreless.
Despite Pete Tegeita’s three-run home run in the first inning, they suffered a four-run deficit from P&S relentless single hits.
However, first baseman Benavente was able to foil any base run attempt from P&S’ Jack Diaz and John Tomokane’s single hits.
Paul Lisua’s run-scoring double and Jay Camacho’s single hit fell short from tying the game in the bottom of the fourth inning as P&S’ Jack Diaz continued driving runs with a two-run singles in the fifth.
Pete Tegeita tripled Jess Omar while Greg Reyes singled him home as they launched the winning rally against P&S.
DLNR did not look back as Benavente hit the home run, followed by triple hits from Lisua and Felix Remoket and a double hit from Mike Blas.
Tegeita had four RBIs while Benavente and Remoket finished with four RBIs, and Lisua added two.
Meanwhile, Beach Boys and Freedom Air shared the second place in the standing again after winning games, the former by a forfeiture against Law & Order and the latter, a nine-run victory.
Freedom Air’s Joe Lizama hit a run-scoring homer in the top of the first inning and a solo home run in the third, for his four RBIs.
Roy Celis also hit a solo home run in the third inning to secure the early lead.
Roque Camacho and Dennis Cruz both added one RBI.
