Donny Bai of Marianas High School dominated the 18-and-under division while Julia Ishikawa of Saipan International School beat her school mate, Moena Takagi in the 10-and-under.
Over 20 school children both in elementary and high school showed up for the event barely half of the turn out of the first series two weeks ago.
Reyes finished the one-mile run in seven minutes and 45.18 seconds. Her school mate, Tiana Osada was just a breath behind her.
Placing third was Saipan Community School’s Tammy Acherman who completed the lap in 7:46.12 minutes.
Palacios also of HJHS, whose age group ran with the 18U runners, reached the finish line in 15.09 minutes trailing 18U third finisher, Greg Duatin of MHS.
Bai was ahead of everybody in the 18U race with 14:14 minutes. Speeding up right behind him was Douglas Dillay of Kagman High School who crossed the finish line in 14:18 minutes.
Among the 18U girls, Jeralyn Castillo of MHS was the fastest with 17:35 minutes.
Ishikawa finished the run in 7:50.70 minutes. Trailing her was Kentaro Kitagawa who was the lone runner for 10U boys, with 8:05.13 minutes.
