The registration fee is set at $95.00 for any club member of Club Elan or Club at the Hyatt. For all interested players who are not members must pay $110.00. All applicants must be pre paid by November 10, 2010. All proceeds will then go to the Make-a-Wish foundation.
Check in time on the day of the golf tournament is at 630 am at the Lao Lao bay golf resort’s front desk and the tee off time/ shotgun starts at 730 am sharp.
The tournament will follow two ground rules and they are as follows: the 4 person scramble which is when played as a foursome, teams are usually constructed with an A player, B player, C player and D player, with those players designated based on handicaps. The A player would the low-handicapper, the D player the high-handicapper. The best of the tee shots is selected and all players play their second shots from that spot. The best of the two shots is determined, then all play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed.
Double Peoria handicap system; the tournament committee secretly selects six holes. These are usually two par 3s, two par 4s and two par 5s, and often one of each type per nine (one par 3 on the front, the other on the back nine). Competitors do not know which holes have been selected.
Each player totals his six secret holes. That total is multiplied by 3; par is subtracted from that total; then the resulting number is multiplied by 80 percent. This is the player’s allowance. The allowance is subtracted from the player’s gross score and the result is the net Peoria System score.
There will be hole-in-one prizes available for all players as well as fun and exciting games for most holes.
The dinner banquet will be held at the Hyatt Regency Saipan’s poolside. All guests wishing to attend must pay $35.00 per person.
