(NMC) — Golfers in the Northern Marianas College Foundation’s 2026 Golf Open on March 21 and 22 will have a chance to win $115,000, thanks to longtime NMC supporter Pacifica Insurance Underwriters.
Continuing its support for higher education in the CNMI, Pacifica Insurance Underwriters is offering a $15,000 hole-in-one prize and a $100,000 shootout prize as this year’s contribution.
“Congratulations NMC on 45 incredible years of providing higher education, a milestone that calls for a celebration,” said Shirley Sablan, president and CEO of Pacifica Insurance Underwriters. “We’re excited to cheer on all the golfers as Pacifica Insurance adds a fun, high‑energy $100,000 shootout challenge on top of an enhanced hole in one cash prize to make this year’s tournament even more unforgettable. Rest assured.”
The NMC Golf Open will be a two-day tournament held at LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort, with a registration fee of $250 per player.
“Pacifica Insurance Underwriters has been a long-standing partner of the NMC Foundation,” said Ben Babauta, chairman of the NMC Foundation. “Their continued support, including this year’s hole-in-one prize, helps advance our mission to expand educational opportunities and strengthen workforce development throughout the Commonwealth.”
The tournament, which is the signature fundraising event of the NMC Foundation, aims to raise funds to build and equip modern, innovative campus facilities that will help expand the CNMI’s workforce development efforts, stimulate economic growth, and provide greater access to quality education for residents of the islands.
