BRAVO No Bulls Hit barely escaped the clutches of Black 8 Toka Hao, 8-7, in their Kingfisher C division match of the 2024 SEDA Bud Light Dart League at the Black 8 Pool Bar on Wednesday evening.
Toka Hao played with confidence, scoring 3-1 in the opening set of the 301 Double In/Double Out games with Cory Llagas and TJ “Waka Waka” Santos at the frontline, each earning 17.71 points per dart or PDD.
After splitting the next two Partners Crazy Cricket games, No Bulls Hit’s Michael Scaliem and Vinson Vincent, along with Richmond Keybond and David Cepeda, pulled a clean two-win sweep in the following Partners 501 games to tie the game.
However, Toka Hao proved their superiority in singles as Llagas’ 3.22 PPD highlighted another 3-1 run in the Singles Regular Cricket games to stay afloat, 7-5.
Toka Hao needed only one win to clinch the match, but No Bulls Hit did not want to end the night early.
Teamwork was their strong suit and in the three remaining games of the match, Keybond and Vincent sparked a late-game rally, triumphing over Toka Hao’s Santos and Mei Rengiil while No Bulls Hit’s Scaliem and Cepeda kept the momentum burning with their second consecutive win against Leana “Yakuza” Camacho and Edwin “Speddy” Camacho to sweep the Partners Half-It games and even the score, 7-7.
No Bulls Hit thrived as a four-man unit to claim the final Team 1101 game and secure an upset victory over Toka Hao, 8-7.
Winners, too
Joining the winner’s circle were the Bistro High Breeder, which remains the top team after edging Marvz Darty Gentz, 8-7; and Black 8 Puff Daddy, which outshot the 911 North Side Darters, 10-5.
