The Junior Division’s Ol’ Aces scored their first run from lead-off batter Jesse Brel, who reached the home plate on a wild pitch by Falcons’ Darrion Jones. Jones ended the top of the first inning with strike outs on Ol Aces’ Virolanson Secharmidal and second baseman Mike Muna.
The Falcons led 3-1 by the bottom of the first with three consecutive runs from Alfonso Evangelista, Ian Norita, and Frankie Lieto.
Learning from their errors, the Ol’ Aces gave their rivals a scoreless second inning. Third baseman Auden Ngeskebei scored his team’s second run on Evangelista’s error.
Despite Muna’s strike out, the Ol’ Aces held on to the top of the third. Oscar Stefano tied the game, 3-3 on additional errors from Evangelista and Jones. Austin Agulto and Kenji Yamagata landed two more runs to put the Falcons behind, 5-3.
Jones marked the Ol’ Aces’ second and third out by catching JP Taitano’s fly ball and striking out Brel. Again, the Falcons made no progress by the bottom of the third.
The Ol’ Aces tallied three more runs by the top of the fourth inning. Secharmidal ran to first base on another error from Jones, and reached the scoring position before stealing to the home plate. Both Ngeskebei and Stefano walked to first base and returned home via wild pitch.
The Ol’ Aces finished the top of the seventh with a final run from Secharmidal. After switching to short stop, Muna secured the game by catching Gino Dela Cruz’s fly ball.
