MBFNMI board chairman, Ray Lizama in a statement said the CPR/AED training “is great news” for the Masters League members.
This, he said will ensure that the Masters League family will have CPR-certified individuals during games, once the next league is held.
Masters, Lizama said will not only be knowledgeable of basketball rules, but also knowledgeable of live-saving measures.
“It’s essential that now MBFNMI, will be well rounded, and our members can utilize their skills/training in our community in the event of a victim needs assistance,” Lizama said.
MBFNMI, he added is grateful with the American Red Cross NMI Chapter’s commitment to serve the community.
Masters, he said is one of many organizations that give people the chance to serve other members of CNMI community. And enhancing their skills with specialized training in CPR/AE, will help them do more.
The Masters Basketball Federation, Lizama assured will be the first of its kind to have such training in the basketball organizations.
“Sports are prone to injuries, and we can say we can administer proper care for our members. MBFNMI, is comitted in serving our members with high standards our quality services, and with the NMI Red Cross Chapter commitment has loud our objectives, goals, and missions,” he said.
As the Chairman of the Board of the MBFNMI, President of the Masters Basketball League and the rest of our Board of Director and our 220 members, we extend our profound gratitute and appreciation to the NMI Red Cross Chapter Staff, Chapter Executive Director John Hirsh and NMI Red Cross Chapter Board of Directors,” he added.
