Both teams pushed into the third set of the match with SDA edging their SCS rivals by 15-13. SDA overwhelmed SCS in the first set with a blow-out game, scoring 25-7. SCS players later redeemed themselves in the second set, after winning 23-25.
Saipan International School Team B also headed against Whispering Palms School yesterday, in another junior varsity game.
A long line up of matches are set for today, according to the Coalition of Private Schools Sports Association’s schedule. The games will include: Mt. Carmel School vs. Calvary Christian Academy (varsity and JV), Grace Christian Academy vs. Marianas Baptist Academy (varsity), GCA vs. Whispering Palms School (JV), MBA vs. Seventh Day Adventist School (JV), Saipan Community School vs. SIS Team A (JV), and SIS Team B vs. SIS Team A (varsity).
