Sparks prove too good to defeat

Hossain brought in 17 points, Manglona contributed 10 points, and star player Faisao reaped 22 points throughout the duration of the game.

In the second quarter, Savali Talalemotu was only able to slip past the Sparks’ defense twice to contribute 4 points towards the Rollers and the rest was history.

Star player Faisao showed his basketball talents by successfully clocking in to downtown shots to keep the driver’s seat of the game widening the crevice to a gargantuan 14 point difference between the Sparks and the Rollers by half time.

Paul Mariano of the Rollers gave a herculean effort to catch up to the Sparks but was only able to breach their defense three times contributing 6 points, and being fouled on his way to the key, was given two charity shots managing to shoot only one charity in successfully.

This was not enough to stop the Sparks but gave them motivation as Sajh Hossain again widened the already big gap to an even bigger one by adding 10 points to the Sparks’ scoreboard widening the gap to 19 points by the time the siren rang to seal the third quarter shut.

Paul Mariano tried one last time to catch up to the Sparks’ winning rampage by repeatedly driving the ball and taking chances with his jump shots.

These did not come easy but Mariano was able to fend off 15 point for his team in the final round collaring a total of 27 points over all.

But the Sparks just proved to be too hard to beat. Jonathan Norita jumped into the winning band wagon and scored 12 points for the Sparks securing a dominating 10 point lead over the Rollers, 80-70.
