The referee briefing/training is in preparation for the Fall Women’s Futsal League, which will kick off on October 11.

The briefing/training will be held at the NMIFA Office at TSL Plaza, Garapan.

Customs Goodwill Golf Tournament

There will be a Double Peoria Format charity golf tournament tomorrow, October 4, at the Corral Ocean Point.

Registration begins at 11 a.m.

1st prize is $400; 2nd prize -$300; and 3rd prize – $200. Consolation prizes will be given away to 4th placer down to 7th placer.

Registration fee is pegged at $100.

Proceeds of the tournament will go to CNMI Customs softball players who will compete in Palau in March 2009.

Banquet at Naked Fish will follow after the match.

Last call for women’s futsal boot camp on Saturday

THE women’s committee of the Northern Mariana Islands Football Association will conduct its second futsal boot camp on Saturday, October 4, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Navy Hill football field across Whispering Palms School.

The committee will still accept new women registrants for the bootcamp and upcoming league on the same day.

Participants ages 14 years and up may register at boot camp for $20. The league will run from October 11 to December 6, 2008 with games every Saturday.
