WPS crushed SCS in two straight sets, 26-24, 25-14, in the Middle School category volleyball match held at WPS grounds on Navy Hill.
Coach Mark McDonald said his team came out with a slow start in the first set with several forced errors due to lack of concentration.
At one point, WPS lagged behind by eight to nine points during the first set.
Eventually, WPS spikers put their acts together to tie the game with SCS at 24 points, until they sealed the set in their favor.
During the seconds set, Jake Lee of WPS fired away with eight straight points in the beginning of the second set.
From that point, WPS picked up their pace and ruled the game with SCS unable to make a series of successful volleys.
Currently, WPS holds a 5-1 win-lose card in the volleyball tournament.
Its single loss came after its battle with Grace Christian Academy which beat WPS in a score of 17-25, 25-11, 16-14.
In other previous matches, WPS beat Seventh Day Adventist School, Mount Carmel School, Saipan International School (Blue and Green).
WPS is set to play against Calvary Christian Academy in make-up game on Monday next week.
The WPS-CCA match was called off due to heavy rains.
CCA holds the first set last time they left off.
Whispering Palms School is a member of the Coalition of Private Schools Sports Association.
