Wild Shooters grip throne in Flametree Division

From a pool of 10 teams in the Thursday B Division Flametree category the Wild Shooters are tallying a current 89 win/61 loss record with a 59.33 percent winning average.

Wild Shooters’ Jojo Guilas drew first blood after navigating his darts in the doubles in area of the board. Scoring 301 points swiftly by landing his darts in area 20 Guilas secured his 301 with a final bone shot –double 1- before his opponent, Ferdy Ngirmekur got his bearings in the game.

Teammates Renato Barros and Pepe Orola followed Guilas’ footsteps and they too moved swiftly across the board scoring a classic earning them the last two points of the round.

Securing areas 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, and the bull’s eye area of the board was the best tactic the Wild Shooters brought into the arena. Jojo Gulias, Renato Barros, Pepe Orola, and George Medina dominated the Partners Wild and Crazy Cricket with this renowned tactic.

Team Watever came back with roaring talent the 501 Double in/ Double out round after navigating their darts in the doubles in and outer border of the board to tally their winnings putting them on the scoreboard.

The Wild Shooters were unfazed and stepped it up a notch during the Singles Regular Cricket garnering three more points off the round. They then finished the kill in the last round of Team 1001/1101 Double in/ Double out to kick the former reigning champions, the Naked Fish Team Na’Gupu out of the first place seat, 10-5.

Na’Gupu still in second place despite recent upset

The Naked Fish team Na’Gupu, although losing by one point to their opposing team D’Pirates Delubyo 8-7 at D’Pirates Bar and Grill last Thursday night, is still situated in second place just below the Wild Shooters with 79 wins and 71 losses.

From the start of the game until the end the points were split equally in half between team Na’Gupu and team Delubyo. At the bottom of the Partners Burma road the scores were up seven points all courtesy to team Na’Gupu’s Alvin Sablan, Jun Pineda, Vic Auglto, and Fred Salavaria and to Delubyo’s Abe Sacramento, Larry Achas, Dennis Encarnacion, and Marvin Achas.

Team Na’Gupu lost by a hairline after team Delubyo closed crucial areas of the board and finally making a run away win after navigating their darts in the bull’s eye area to leave Team Na’Gupu behind, 8-7.

Jonny’s IT&E Kamote still atop Fanihi Division

In the Thursday B Division Fanihi category team IT&E Kamote still stands the strongest in a pool of eight teams vying for the top spot. Kamote currently has 107 wins and 43 losses sealing a 71.33 percent winning average placing Charlie’s Team Sablau in second with 87 wins and 63 losses, 58.00 percent winning average.

Team Buddies Akiramenai Buddy is situated in third place closely tailing team Sabalu with 84 wins and 66 losses.

The Variety learned that all games were cancelled last Friday for the Saipan Electronic Darts Association’s Inter-Government league due to Good Friday.

“All of the players decided to cancel their games to be with their family and friends during good Friday so we decided to push the schedule back to this coming Friday,” said league coordinator Warlee Ellama in an interview with the Marianas Variety.

“The games will resume officially this coming Friday so all players are advised to look over their schedules and respective venues,” Ellama further explained.

All Inter-Government league games are scheduled to commence every Friday and all Thursday B Division games are scheduled to take place on Thursday in various sporting bar venues.

Sniper Destroyers clinch throne in SEDA Masters

WITH a twist of events D’Pirates Sniper Destroyers clinched the first place throne in the Saipan Electronic Darts Association’s 37th Seasonal Darts Tournament; Masters Division.

The Sniper Destroyers are currently seeding 91 wins and 45 losses in a pool of seven teams in the top division. With a 66.91 percent winning average the Sniper Destroyers outgunned last season’s TDI Stallions.

The Stallions settle for second place, so far in the league, after defeating Jonny’s Elite at the Buddies Bar and Grill with a knock out score of 10-7.

Points were split in half during the opening Singles Regular Cricket. Jun Olita drew first blood of the game and the night after securing areas 20,

19, and 18 and notching a rare hat trick –three bull’s eyes- to secure the first points of the game.

Team Elite redeemed themselves after Albert Guevara and Wilson Quiban each notched a point with the last point stolen in game four by the Stallions’ Noel Montalbo nailing a tough Bag O’ Nuts attempt.

In the Partners 501 Double in/ Double out round Wilson Quiban and Warlee Ellama were not match for partners Rick Elefante and George Medina.

After navigating their darts in the doubles area, they moved across the board in the crucial 20, 19, and 18 areas to secure their 501 points before the latter.

It was a sure win in the Singles Sniper round – the safety net the Stallions fell into- after majority of the points were clinched by the TDI Stallions.

Three points were achieved in the Sniper Round and four more points in the Singles 301 Double in/ Double out round.

Although team Elite stole the last point of the night in the final Team 1001/1101 Cherry In/ Double out round they were still three points shy from defeating the former champs, 10-7.

Quick win for Companeros, 13-4

During the second game of the night Oleai’s D’Companeros moved quickly to defeat opposing team Round Bar PIC Shooters at the Round House Bar and Grill, 13-4.

The only points clinched by the latter were during the opening Singles Regular Cricket after Ed Gabito and Nestor Abing navigated their darts in areas 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, and 15 securing the lot to bag two points in a row.

In the following Partners 501 Double in/ Double out dynamic duo Ed Gabito and Nestor Abing sailed their darts and successfully clinched a bone to help them score their double one to close their 501 points before the opposing team.

The Companeros gathered four more points in the Singles Sniper round, two points in the Wild and Crazy Cricket, four points in the Singles 301 Double in/ Double out, and finally finishing the kill in the Team 1001/1101 Cherry In/ Double out round, 13-2.

M-Destroyers roar past Flying Dartsmen, 10-7

In the last game of the night at the D’Pirates Bar and Grill, D’Pirates M-Destroyers took major advantage of their home arena as the venue of the game to route past the Buddies Flying Dartsmen.

Avel Villafuerte, Leo Lindo, Mario Juamlon and Gigi Gatmaitan  drew great attention from the crowd after bagging all four points from games one through four in the Singles Regular Cricket round.

Dartsmen’s Jayson John and Julian Camacho redeemed themselves in the next round of the Partneres 501 Double in/ Double out after securing the bull’s eye earning them leeway to speedily gain their 501 points and earning them the round.

Jumalon, Lindo, and Gatmaitan secreud three more points in the Singles Sniper round. The Dartsmen improved their overall statisctics after dominating the Singles 301 Double in/ Double out round and defeating the M-Destroyers in the final Team 1001/1101 Cherry In/ Double out round however the latter was still leading by three points, 10-7.
