“As of this time, the car has not been recovered,” Department of Public Safety spokesman PO2 Eric David told the Variety yesterday.
David identified the taxi driver as Qi Run Li who was last seen driving toward the vicinity of Gold’s Gym.
Li is the registered owner of a 2004 silver Toyota Corolla with license plate ADJ 932.
David said DPS received a call at about 5:29 a.m. yesterday regarding a missing person.
David said police responded to the call and learned that on Monday evening, at around 7:30 p.m., Li received a call on his cell phone from a customer requesting for taxi service. The customer wanted be dropped-off at Gold’s Gym in Chinatown.
No other details about the case were available, David said.
