The purpose of this program is to deter and detect aggressive drivers out on the streets.
“We must be vigilant in monitoring the streets in our community for other law abiding citizens. We must keep our streets and highways safe for all motorist and pedestrians,” DPS said.
Drivers who exhibit aggressive driving traits endanger the community. The aggressive driving program is geared toward helping keep the roads safe from drivers who exhibit signs of aggressive driving or street racing.
The program will take effect immediately. All department units — Patrol, Traffic, Boating Safety, Criminal Investigative Bureau and Motor Carrier Safety — will participate in this joint operation. Please drive safely and observe all traffic laws.
