Sonia Siwa of PDM Promoters, Inc. said the contest is among the series they have prepared for December.
“We are inviting the community to come and participate in the series of activities we have prepared at the Paseo de Marianas to celebrate the Christmas season,” she said.
The Christmas trees will be judged on Dec. 1, which falls on a street market day.
“We will also light up the 30-foot Christmas tree at the Paseo de Marianas on Thursday,” Siwa said.
The tree was constructed and donated by RNV Construction Inc. and decorated with recycled materials.
The seven-member panel of judges will also judge the drawing entries submitted by students from Rota and Tinian with the theme “My Holiday Greetings to Our Visitors.”
After the lighting of the Christmas trees, Siwa said the community will be entertained by a performance of the Saipan Awaodori Team and a program prepared by Garapan street market management.
