Kabiriel cruised through the 10-kilometer course with the best time of 41 minutes and 39 seconds, followed by veteran biker Butch Sublemente (43:16) and Tom Linden (46:20).
Marcia Schultz was this weekend’s top female runner at one hour, nine minutes, and 11 seconds. Juanita Fajardo finished second at 1:10:37.
Jack Kabiriel also won last year’s race alongside Mamiko Oshima-Berger, who is currently off island.
Other 10K runners included Chad Lowe (49:44), June Evangelista (53:05), and Andrew Tolentino (59:09).
Those wanting a shorter course entered the 5-kilometer fun run event, which included June Candari (20:05), Henry Ocampo (21:42), and Lawrence Diyco (21:57) as its top three winners.
Both 5K and 10K courses started and ended at the Grotto area. The race raised $350 for the Marianas March Against Cancer, according to organizer Kevin Carey.
