Yong Man tops men’s flight, Tatalones wins San Jose fundraiser

Tatalones birdied once in the front nines, parred in thee holes but bogeyed in the rest to finish 6-over par 40.

Although he birdied twice in the back nines, he slipped back to 7-over par 41 and earned a gross of 81. His 10.8 handicap reduced his gross to 70.2, just a breath behind Manny Mangarero who shot 86 and netted 70.4.

Ranking third was Jesse K. Seman birdied three times to fire 1-under par 35 in the front nines. He however, lagged in the back nine firing 8-over par 44 for his 79 gross to net 71.0.

Bae Yong Man who played zero-handicap eagled in Hole No. 9 and birdied three times to fire 3 strokes under par 33 in the front nine placed fourth. Shooting 2-over par 38 in the back nine, Man finished 1-under par 71.

Ned Norita settled for fifth place as he shot 4-over par 40 in the front nine and birdied thrice in the back nine to improve to 1-over par 35.

Also making it to the top 10 are Ralph Yumul who finished 71.4; Joe Lizama, 71.6; Gus Camacho, 71.6; Yasu Irinaka, 71.8 and Clara Chang, 72.0.

In Men Flight, Bae Yong Man topped the race as he fired 3-under par 33 and 2-over par 38 in the front and back nines respectively for his 71 gross.

Jess Wabol placed second as pared 36 in the front nine and shot 2-over par 38 in the back to gross 74.

Placing third was Ralph Yumul who went 2-over par 38 in the front and swung better in the back nine firing 1-over par 37.

In Ladies Flight, Kim Yang bested three other female golfers as she shot 84. She defeated Clara Chang who also netted 84, in a scorecard play-off.
