The scholarship program is extended to the FSM to promote cooperation and exchange in the fields of education and culture between the two nations.
The program will support students who are interested in going to China for undergraduate and graduate degrees.
The program fund will cover the cost of tuition, dormitory and a monthly allowance for meals and other basic necessities.
International airfare for the students will be borne by themselves.
The Chinese government will be accepting a maximum of 14 students this year under the scholarship program.
Application forms are available at the FSM Department of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Palikir.
The Embassy of the Federated States of Micronesia in Beijing encourages all FSM students to take advantage of the scholarship opportunity.
There are currently 39 FSM students studying in China.
Their fields of study range from computer science to medicine and engineering.
