Cop in domestic violence case to change plea

Pangelinan, 21, appeared in the custody of the Department of Corrections before Associate Judge David A. Wiseman  during a case management conference last month.

Pangelinan’s court-appointed is attorney Loren Sutton while Assistant Attorney General Eli Golob is prosecuting the case.

On Feb. 28, 2010, Pangelinan assaulted his girlfriend, and fired two shots at her while asking her to admit if she was seeing another man, the Attorney General’s Office said.

Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo earlier found probable cause to believe that Pangelinan committed one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, one count of violating an order of protection, one count of sexual assault in the first degree, three counts of illegal possession of ammunition, one count of assault and battery, one count of criminal mischief, and one count of kidnapping.

Govendo imposed a $100,000 bail on Pangelinan.
