The person in charge of running the center, the resident added, is “overpaid and clueless.”
Asked for comment, the center’s special advisor Freddy U. Hofschneider Jr. said he had already discussed the matter with resident director Ray Dela Cruz Jr., the mayor’s son.
Hofschneider promised to provide this reporter with a statement.
In a recent interview, Mayor Ramon Dela Cruz said Dr. Priyantha Wijayagunaratne’s contract as physician of THC was not renewed. He did not explain why.
He said patients with serious ailments are sent to the Commonwealth Health Center on Saipan.
But THC can treat patients with minor ailments, the mayor added.
