Aldan still prince of the lanes

With the absence of rival Marion Mckenzie last Sunday, Aldan dashed past John Taisacan, Greg Sablan, Toby Verdaguer, and Ryan Batac with 575 pinfalls. Aldan fell behind Taisacan, 151-178 in game one of the four-game roll-off but recovered with 168 pinfalls by game three. He tallied 120 and 136 pinfalls in games two and four, respectively for a 143.75 average.

Taisacan knocked down 150 pins by game two but declined with 123 and 107 in the last half of the tournament. He totaled 558 pinfalls for second place, averaging 139.5 per game. Third-ranked Sablan, a new comer, gathered 126, 119, 129, and 145 for an overall 558 pinfalls.

Verdaguer came next to Sablan with 502 pinfalls (111, 106, 128, and 157) and a 125.5 average. Ryan Batac also scored 90, 74, 73, and 96 for a 333 total.

Aldan garnered 667 pinfalls to grab the January title, beating Mckenzie’s 590 mark. He collected $20 for winning last Sunday. Taisacan received $15 and Sablan earned $5.
