Estolas recived his coach’s and the other league official’s nod after brigading his team through the first and second game of the best of three series competition match in the finals round of the entire league drawing first blood and ending the kill during the second game.
Estolas not only effectively helped assist other teammates through the game but was also the lead scorer in both crucial events by garnering 24 points during the first game and 20 points during the second game.
Along with his major achievements during the play offs season and the finals best-of-three series Estolas also garnered an amazing record during the seasonal competition. He was in the lead for the free throws category, nailing more than 124 points overall and leading in the assist category as well.
“[The] 2011 Docomo / UBA Men’s League Champion goes to Team MOBIL! A big congrats! Also, 2011 Docomo / UBA Men’s League Finals MVP goes to Jhun Estolas.” said UBA President James Lee in an interview with the Variety.
