(NMC) — As part of its long-standing commitment to higher education in the CNMI, First Hawaiian Bank donated $5,000 to the Northern Marianas College Foundation for its Golf Open, which is set for March 23 and 24, 2024.

“At First Hawaiian Bank, we believe investing in our future means investing in our students. By supporting NMC’s Golf Open, we’re teeing off on a brighter future for the CNMI, opening doors to educational opportunities that strengthen our communities and propel our next generation forward,” said First Hawaiian Bank Vice President and CNMI Area Manager Vickie Izuka.

NMC’s tournament will be a two-day event at the LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort. The tournament fee is $250.

“FHB’s commitment to education through the NMC Golf Open is a powerful example of community partnership,” said Ben Babauta, chair of the NMC Foundation.

The tournament, which is also the signature event of the NMC Foundation, aims to raise funds to build and equip modern, innovative campus facilities that will help expand the CNMI’s workforce development efforts, stimulate economic growth, and provide access to quality education for the residents of the Commonwealth.

Interested companies and individuals who would like to help the college with its rebuilding efforts can donate educational tax credit, cash, or in-kind contributions by visiting www.marianas.edu/golf or by contacting Helen Camacho at [email protected], Raynard Travilla at [email protected], or Miguel Dandan at [email protected]/.
