Kabiriel, also last year’s champion, stormed to the finish line in 37 minutes and 32 seconds to place first overall and in the men’s division.
His record in 2010 — 35 minutes and 23 seconds — still proved to be the fastest time.
Women’s champion Mamiko Berger trailed Kabiriel by less than two minutes, coming in at 38:44. She placed second last year next to Mieko Carey, who is currently off island for the XTERRA World Championship in Maui, Hawaii.
Ronald Villafria, who ended a year-long break from running, posted 40 minutes and 53 seconds to rank second in the men’s division. Chad Lowe finished in third place at 44:26.
Kim Young followed Berger as the women’s division’s first runner up with 49:12. Irma Halaby and Roxie Lamar tied for third place with 55 minutes and 16 seconds.
Kaisei Toda claimed the youth division title with 56:41.
Runners pushed uphill towards the radar station in Marpi before returning to Pau Pau Beach.
Top finishers received medals in addition to other prizes and race certificates.
