Trevor Ogumoro ignited the winning momentum for the Ol Aces early into the game after bagging 6 points for his team reinforcing these successful shots with a strong defense line against the Rollers to keep them at bay. The lone star Brandon Aulerio was able to rupture through that defense to score 7 points for the Rollers.
By the end of the quarter the Ol Aces were able to uphold a 5 point lead over the Rollers, 16-11.
The Ol Aces were then able to keep the lead in the second quarter of the game. Luther Taylor and teammate Juan Maratita pushed through the Rollers’ defense to keep that lead by scoring 4 points a player respectively. By half time the gap between the two teams remained the same, 29-24.
The second half of the game proved to be more intense. Juan Maratita readily showed his talents aggressively displaying the Ol Aces dominance of the game after bagging 7 more points while teammate Wes Tomokane jumped into the band wagon and banked another 6 points to widen the 5 point gap made in the first half of the game to a fierce 9 point lead by the end of the third quarter, 49-40.
Patrick Torres and teammate Brandon Aulerio bagged 6 points each in the last quarter of the game in their major efforts to close the gap. But the damage was already too deep to close as the Ol Aces’ Trevor Ogumoro bagged 8 points whilst his teammates Juan Maratita and Anthony Webb scored 5 points and 4 points respectively to secure their win against the Rollers, 70-58.
