Olopai who did not play in the first round last month, tied with Ret. Judge Edward Manibusan in the average gross from the two qualifying rounds.
Manibusan who shot the lowest gross during first round went 1-over par 73 to go behind Olopai last Saturday.
Jeffrey Taylor who went 80 in the first round fired 2-over par 74 in the second round to earn an average of 77 for the third place.
Nick Sablan also did well in the first round shooting 7-over par 79 improved last weekend with 78 gross to be in a three-way tie with Jojie Tagutchi and Adam Hardwicke in 78.5 average.
Jess Wabol who joined Hardwicke and Steve Balakrishna in gross 82 during the first round made it up this time firing 6-over par 78 to have an average of 80.
Tony Satur who had 85 gross in Round 1 shot 78 to average 81; Ralph Yumul averaged 81.5 while Balakrishna and Steve Jang tied in 83.5.
Jesse Seman who did not make it in the first round shot 85, Jordon Kosam who did not play last Saturday but had 88 in the first round averaged 88; Joe Saures and Carl Hocog averaged 90.5 and 92 respectively.
Meanwhile the qualifying tournament committee would like to announce that the next qualifying round will be on May 24 at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort’s West Course. It will be the last round from the white tee.
Check in time is 11 a.m., and tee time is 12 noon.
After this, the next three rounds will be shot from blue tee.
The blue tee shot qualifying round will start on June 19 at the Coral Ocean Point and the next will be on July 19 Laolao Bay Golf Resort’s East Course.
This will be followed by another blue tee qualifying round on August at the Kingfisher Golf Links, then, the make up game on September at the Laolao West Course again.
Exact dates for the last two rounds will be announced later.
The committee also would like to remind the participating golfers to be on time. Tee time at 12 noon means everybody should be at the place earlier.
